A Gram Swaraj Abhiyan was organised at Majhigaon under the Gopalpur Assembly constituency in Ganjam district on Friday.
BJP State president Basant Panda joined the programme and discussed about implementation of various welfare programmes of the Union Government. He urged upon activists to make people aware about schemes like lPG Ujjwala, lED Ujjwala, Bima Suraksha, Atal Pension, Swachh Bharat Mission toilets, Ayusman, Jan Dhan, Mudra, free electricity, Soubhagya and Sukanya Yojana. On the occasion, he distributed lPG cylinders and Jan Dhan account books among beneficiaries.
Among others, BJP district president Kahnu Charan Pati, State secretary Bibuthi Bhushan Jena, ZP member Binod Chandra Mishra, Rajesh Sahu, Padmapur Samiti member Jagannath Nayak, Mandal president Rajat Kumar Pandit, Gopalpur NAC member Ashok Behera and Mandal president Siba Prasad Patro were present.
Panda spent the night in the village. He joined a cleaning drive under the Swachh Bharat Mission in the village on Saturday. The HCC’s East Zone manager Santanu Rai Babu and IOC Nodal Officer Siba Behera were present.
