The State Government is all set to conduct road shows in Japan and Thailand from October 30 to attract investments to the State under its ‘Make in Odisha’ initiative.
An eight-member team led by Finance Minister Shashi Bhusan Behera is scheduled to visit Tokyo and Osaka in Japan and Thailand’s Bangkok to take part in the seven-day road shows.
The initiative is expected to drag the attention of investors in foreign countries to make investments in tourism, industry and other sectors in Odisha.
Earlier, the Odisha Government in collaboration with Centre’s Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) had organised the Make in Odisha Conclave in Bhubaneswar on November 30, 2016 to showcase the policy and investment opportunities in various sectors. Several MoUs were signed during the event, but the projects are yet to come up.
