The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) on Friday approved as many as five industrial projects worth Rs 1,851.96 crore. The projects would provide jobs to more than 1,624 people. Among approved projects, Narbheram Power would set up a 2-MTPA pellet and grinding plant at an investment of Rs 350 crore at Joda in Keonjhar district.The Viraj Steel & Energy would expand its existing 0.1 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant to a 0.3 MTPA capacity at an investment of Rs 261.71 crore. The BR Sponge and Power Limited would expand its Tumkela project by setting up 0.21 MTPA sponge iron, 1 MTPA iron ore beneficiation, 0.6 MTPA pellet, 0.112 MTPA MS Billets, 0.112 MTPATMT, 50 TPH coal washery and 24 MW captive power plant.
The Nu Vista Limited Cement grinding capacity would be expanded from from 1.5 MTPA to 2 MTPA in Kalinga Nagar, Jajpur at an investment of Rs 598.62 crore. The OCL India would set up a cement grinding unit of 2.5 MTPA capacity at Biswali in Cuttack at Rs 441.43 crore.
