Rourkelaites are disheartened after the State Government has asked the Collectors of Khordha, Cuttack, Ganjam and Sambalpur to find 200 acres of land in their respective districts for location of the proposed Odisha IIM. The Government’s move has once again neglected Rourkela’s cause.Members of the Sachetan Nagarik Manch (SNM), Rourkela, described the State Government’s move as a great betrayal to Rourkela.
SNM general secretary PP Ray said his organisation would still continue its fight for IIM location in the steel city. Even, he is ready to stage hunger strike in Bhubaneswar to force the Government to rethink on its decision.Similarly, members of the Rourkela Jagaran Manch are also preparing for agitation against the Government’s decision.
