Govt inks MoU with fraud health firm: BJP

The BJP on Saturday slammed the State Government for signing an MoU with Ziqitza Health Care ltd (ZHl) to improve healthcare delivery system in the State while terming the ZHl a fraud firm.

“By signing an MoU with the Ziqitza Health Care ltd, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has planned to loot people of the State,” BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma alleged while stating that the ZHl is known fraud company in the country.

Sharma stated that Dr Srinath Reddy was once head of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), launched by the UPA Government in 2006. After the Rajasthan Government filed a criminal case against the firm, Union Home Department cancelled its licence. Even this agency can’t bring loans from the foreign countries.

Notably, the State Government signed two MoUs with the ZHl and the PHFI for improving 108 Ambulance and other health services.
