Employment and Technical Education Minister Sanjay Kumar Dasburma on said the Government has no information regarding the numbers of seats remaining vacant in various ITIs last year and ITI pass-out Odia students remaining unemployed in the State. In a written reply to a question by MlA Dr Prafulla Majhi, the Minister informed that the Assembly that there are 30 Government ITIs and 582 private ITIs now running across the State. A total of 9,113 students had taken admission in the 30 Government ITI s and 40,773 in the 583 private ITIs in 2014. The private ITIs have total intake capacity of 64,040 in the current year.
