Terming absence of senior officers from the meeting convened by the cabinet minister Madan Kaushik as an example of unbridled bureaucracy in Uttarakhand, Manglaur MLA and secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Qazi Nizamuddin has said that the Uttarakhand Government is operating in auto mode.
He said that the meeting was convened four days in advance and a senior cabinet minister was to chair the meeting but many secretaries were absent from the meeting which shows that the government has no control over the officers.
The Congress MLA said, “If the government is not able to convene a meeting on an important issue like Kumbh at the state secretariat then one can well understand the preparation for Kumbh on ground. It also shows apathetic attitude of the BJP government towards Kumbh preparations.’’
