Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid foundation stones and inaugurated a total of 33 projects worth `149 crore, besides the mega lift irrigation project at Mahulpali of `29.29 crore, high-level bridge over Devadihi Nala of `8.26 crore. He inaugurated a Kalyan Mandap at Brajrajnagar of `2.97 crore.
Patnaik addressed the huge public gatherings at Brajrajnagar and Jharsuguda’s Kulabira and distributed Government assistance to the beneficiaries under different schemes.
On the occasion, he CM said Mahanadi is the mother of 4.5 crore people of Odisha. “Our Government will definitely save the interest of State with the support of the people. Our Government has begun a battle by urging the Central Government to form a tribunal.”
Former Minister SN Patro, WODC Chairperson Kishore Kumar Mohanty, Textile Minister Snehangini Churia, Bargarh MP Prabhas Singh and Brajrajnagar MlA Radha Rani Panda were present.
