Govt claim on medicine availability untrue: BJP

Published on:

To review the health issues and their solutions in the State, the BJP Medical Cell convened a meeting, which was presided over by cell convener Dr Gokulananda Patnaik, here on Wednesday.

The cell members resented that while the State Government claims adequate availability of medicines at various hospitals in the State, patients are forced to spend money on medicines due to lack of provision of free medicines to them.

Dr Patnaik demanded that a list of available medicines be given in a notice board for the people at all hospitals. Besides, the cell members also said efforts would be made to draw the State Government’s attention to immediately fill up the vacant posts of doctors and paramedical staff in rural health centres.

The meeting also decided to hold dental, mouth and general health camps at the BJP office premises here on July 6.
