A meeting of mediapersons from electronic and print media was held here on Monday. Around 85 scribes from different blocks, besides the headquarters town, participated.
Pratap Baral convened the meeting, whose main purpose was to unite all scribes in the present context, as many eligible persons have been excluded to avail several facilities announced by the Government, due to negligence of DIPRO. The meeting was presided over by senior journalist Krushna Kumar Mishra.
The mediapersons expressed their gratitude to the State Government for announcing a series of welfare measures for the scribes and thanked it for starting an identification process. The meeting resolved to hold election of office bearers on June 22, after proper identification and membership drive is over before June 16. Mishra was nominated unanimously as the election officer to conduct the election smoothly.
