The State Government is awaiting the opinion of the Western Odisha Development Council on the location for its proposed headquarters, Planning and Coordination Minister Usha Devi has stated in the State Assembly.
Replying to a question by BJP member Dilip Ray, she said that since the WODC has demanded shifting of its headquarters from Bhubaneswar to a location in the western region, the Government has sought its view on the new location for its headquarters.The WODC headquarters office has been functioning in Bhubaneswar since July 2, 1999, the Minister informed.
