A memorial meeting was organised by the Kujang Senior Citizens' Forum in the premises of the Kujang Hanuman Temple for late Govind Chandra Tarai, a senior social activist from the Kujang Paradip area and former chairman of the Paradip Municipality.
The meeting, chaired by Nagarik Mancha president Baburam Chowdhury, was attended by Odisha Sahitya Akademi awardee poet Pitambar Tarai, educationalist Anang Mohapatra, columnist Akshay Kumar Raut, poet Gita Das, Vijay Majhi, Subhas Samantaraya, Naveen Kumar Pradhan, Niranjan Raut, Krishnachandra Mohanty, Shankar Das, Karthikeya Panda, journalist Prashant Kumar Raut and Bibhuti Bhushan Das.
A silent prayer, Gita chanting and poetry recitation were also organised in the memory of late Tarai.
