Governor Dr SC Jamir unveiled a book Ei Matira Aliva Deepa written by Annapurna Mahapatra (67) at the Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday. He highly appreciated Mahapatra's writings.
The anthology contains poems relating to freedom fighters and their contributions towards India’s struggle for Independence. The book would be helpful for children to know about the life histories of the freedom fighters and could inspire the future generation.
Though the author had penned several writings in different newspapers and magazines in the past, this is her first book published by city-based organisation Sahayog Educational and Charitable Trust. Her next book Sishu Garima is likely to be released very soon.
