Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal’s wife Sushila Devi passed away at a private hospital here late on Sunday night. Her last rites were performed at the Swargadwar in Puiri on Monday.
The First Lady of the State along with Governor Lal and four of their family members had tested positive for Covid-19 on November 1 and were undergoing treatment at the private hospital.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, PCC president Niranjan Patnaik, among many other leaders, expressed deep grief over Sushila Devi’s demise.
