A goods train en route Kharagpur from Khordha rammed into a rest shed at Platform-3 of the Jajpur Road station in Jajpur district early on Friday morning.
However, no injuries or casualty were reported in the incident. An apparent major mishap was averted as the rest shed was vacant at that time.
Sources said the coal-laden train, after leaving the Khurda Road station, was moving towards Kharagpur of West Bengal in wee hours. However, the train tilted down and hit a rest shed at Platform-3 of the Jajpur Road station at around 5 am.
