There has been good progress in railway and highway projects while timelines were fixed for various projects implemented in the State.

“We have reviewed 25 projects being implemented by public and private sectors. Stating that time lines have been fixed for different projects, Joy said most of the projects were hit by land acquisition problems. “Some issues relating to private sectors were resolved on spot,” Joy said.

Projects under steel, power, railways and highways were mostly discussed in the meeting, an official at the Chief Secretary’s office said adding the Centre was happy over the progress made in 25 projects including the rail link work for Jharsuguda-Rengali, Talcher-Bimlagarh and Angul-Sukinda.
