The senior-most Odisha Cadre IAS officer Gokul Chandra Pati on Friday assumed charge as the new Chief Secretary of the State. He became the State’s 41st Chief Secretary. Senior officials and leaders of various employees’ associations of the Secretariat greeted Pati by offering him bouquets.
On the day, Pati disposed of one file and later made a courtesy call on CM Naveen Patnaik at the latter’s residence before leaving for Puri to have a darshan of lord Jagannath. Pati said that his immediate focus would be how to deal with the natural calamities.
