A State-level celebration of the 129th birth anniversary of noted poet and political leader Pandit Godavarish Mishra was organised by Odisha Sahitya Academy at the Nehru Seva Sangh here on Sunday.
Secretary to Governor Pradeep Kumar Rath said that the literary values of Pandit Godavarish should be assessed and opinions of Mayadhar Mansingh on him in his book should be revised.
Adviser of the Salia Sanskrutik Parisad Nurshing Prasad Mishra presided over the event. Among others, Odia Professor of the Ravenshaw University Dr Premanand Mohapatra, mini story writer Siba Mishra and NSS member Sarojini Dash spoke on the life history and contributions of Pandit Godavarish.
