The Odisha without Border (OWB), an umbrella organisation of various associations of non-resident of Odias (NROs) residing in different parts of the country and abroad, is all set to organise a global Odia conclave here on December 28.
The conclave is likely to be attended by about 1,000 NROs. “Governor Dr SC Jamir will inaugurate the conclave here at KIIT University while Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend the valedictory function,” OWB global convenor Khirod Kumar Jena told reporters here.
Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, State Industries and School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda would grace the conclave, added Jena.
OWB president Surya Prakash Mohapatra stated that a Swachh Bharat drive would be held near the KIIT University on December 27 on the eve of the global conclave. Besides collective development of the State, the OWB would also contribute to social, cultural and intellectual progress in the State.
