'Give permanent jobs to CT, BEd youths'

The BJP on Wednesday again slammed the State Government for going ahead with the 'Teacher-on-Call' scheme and reiterated its demand for giving direct recruitment to youths having CT and BEd qualifications.

BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma made this demand after the Unemployed CT and BEd Association lodged a grievance before the party. He said CT and BEd youths need to be recruited to various teacher posts on senior basis and appointment of guest teachers under the 'Teacher-on-call' programme be stopped forthwith. He said the Government should publish a draft list as per the notification issued for recruitment of Siksha Sahayaks on December 12, 2016. Besides, trained graduates and OTET qualifiers should be appointed against vacant post soon, he said. Association president Santosh Sethi and secretary Smrutiranjan Jena have threatened that thousands of trained graduates would take to the street if Government doesn't fulfill their demands at the earliest.
