The Bonei Forest Division launched several advanced technology in the division on Thursday. Several initiatives like an exclusive Geographical Information System (GIS) cell for processing of entire geometric data of the division, vehicle tracking system for facilitating movement of forest patrol vehicles, bio metric attendance system for all staffs, VHF coverage for over entire forest division and launching of an exclusive face book page to interface with the public was inaugurated by Principal Chief Conservator of Forest SS Srivastav.
Other senior forest officials like Regional Chief Conservator of Forest, Rourkela, lingaraj Ota, DFO, Bonei SS Khura, DFO, Rourkela Sanjit Kumar and DFO, Sundargarh Arun Mishra, DFO, Deogarh Kartik Samantaray, Bonei Sub-Collector Swdha Dev Singh and Additional SP Bonei Prasant Kumar Jena also graced the occasion.
According to sources, the inauguration of Siali leaft plate plant at Bonei by Bonei Forest Division is a unique initiative which will provide sustainable livelihood to primitive tribal groups with the financial assistance of the District Mineral Fund(DMF) .
Besides Bonei forest division will fulfil its core objective of greening Bonaigarh and Khandadhar. Bonaigarh forest division will add a new chapter by creating eco-tourism facilities in Tensa with financial assistance of Odisha Environmental Management Fund(OEMF) with an expenditure of Rs 50 lakh to create awareness of nature among public at large, besides successful implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission in its letter and spirit.
