The video of a girl thrashing her alleged molester with her footwear in a moving bus here has gone viral in the social media. The incident is said to have occurred on Tuesday in a city bus.
Reports said a man allegedly molested the girl in a city bus. The courageous girl protested the man’s misbehaviour and thrashed him with her sandal and asked him to get down from the bus.
In the video, some of her co-passengers, who had remained mute spectators, seeing the girl’s reaction asked the accused to apologise and get down from the bus. The entire episode was shot by a co-passenger on his mobile phone and it became viral as soon as it was posted on social media.
However, no police complaint has been lodged in this regard so far. City DCP Anup Sahu said, “Police would investigate into the matter if the girl lodges a complaint. We are trying to ascertain the circumstances under which the incident took place.”
Though the exact location where the incident took place was yet to be known, it was believed that it occurred in the Khandagiri area.
