A minor girl hailing from Tentulipada village under Naugaon area who had been abducted by one Sunil Das, a resident of Badagabapur village under Balitutha area on March 28, was rescued. The victim girl’s father Bibhuti Mallick had lodged an FIR in Naugaon police station.
Basing on the complaint, a police team rescued the girl from Coimbatore in Chennai and nabbed the abductor there. Police investigation revealed that the accused man was a driver and a married person. He had taken the minor girl to Chennai luring her on the count of marriage. The victim and the abductor were sent for medical examination, police added.
