In a first, a girl observed Savitri Brata praying for long life for her feminine partner here on Friday.
Monalisa Nayak (27) observed the Brata with much devotion for her 28-year-old partner Sabitri Parida at Swadhar Gruha, REISWA. The two are living together for more than a year now. Monalisa prayed for continuation of their love till their last breaths.
“It’s a rare experience as I observed Savitri Brata for the first time in my life for the betterment and long life of my life partner,” said Monalisa.
“I put vermilion on the forehead of Monalisa and kissed on her forehead to show my love and emotion to her,” said Sabitri.
Sabitri said that while their family members were searching bridegrooms for them, Monalisa proposed to her to live as lifelong partners. Despite protests by family members, they accepted each other through a legal process.
