A minor girl was raped by some youths in the Joda area of district late on Monday night. Police have detained five youths in connection with the incident.
The incident took place when the Class-X girl was going to his maternal uncle’s place with a relative. The youths waylaid them and asked the relative to leave the place.
Then they dragged the girl to an isolated field where they took turns to rape her. After she become unconscious, the youths fled from the spot.
Later, getting information her family members rescued her from the spot and rushed her to a hospital.
The girl is currently admitted to the Tisco hospital here and her health condition is stated to be critical.
Acting on the complaint lodged by the victim’s family members, the Joda police detained five accused in connection with the incident and were interrogating them.
