A girl student was found dead in a residential college at Duhuria under the Sadar police station in the district on Tuesday evening. She was a native of the Paradip area.
Sources said that a staff of the hostel found the girl unconscious her room and informed the hostel authorities. She was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where doctor declared her dead. Though the reason behind the death of the girl is yet to be ascertained, her mother has lodged a complaint with the police alleging that her daughter was murdered. Police are investigating into the incident.
