A class IV girl student of a primary school fainted after attending the prayer class and later died on way to hospital in Papdahandi block of Nabarangpur district on Wednesday.
Sources said Bhagbati Bhatra (9), daughter of Parsuram Bhatra of Sanodaibtar village, was a student of the Bheja Khaira Primary School. Bhagbati went to the school as usual and after the prayer she lost her sense. Immediately the school headmaster Dibakar Samarth gave her water and made her seat on the floor. later, the headmaster, who is also a relative of the girl, sent her to the Maidalpur hospital with a teacher in a bike. But Bhagbati died on the way.
Informed, district Collector Mohammad Sadik Allam asked the local Sub Collector for a probe and file a report soon. The autopsy was conducted at the Nabrangpur district headquarters hospital and later the body was handed over to the the deceased’s parents. Dabugaon police IIC Krushna Chandra Bhatra was present.
