A 19-year-old college girl has alleged that a 24-year-old man sexually assaulted her taking advantage of their relationship and posted photos and videos of their intimate moments in social media by opening fake accounts.
She filed an FIR at the Town police station naming the accused as Aswini
Prahdan of Talakurunia village under the Khantapara police station. The police have registered a case against Pradhan, who is at large, said IIC Dillip Sahu.
According to information, they were in relationship when Aswini promised to marry her. The girl, a Plus Three Final Year Science student, was residing in a private mess.
Pradhan, who used to visit her in the mess, raped her after drugging her in absence of other inmates.
But their relationship deteriorated as Aswini began asking her not to make friends with other male colleagues and doubting her character.
As the girl protested, the accused demanded Rs 1 lakh to destroy their intimate photos and threatened to make those photos public if she doesn’t pay the demanded money.
