Three persons, including a 13-year-old girl, in Jharpokharia under Mayurbhanj district died on Thursday after the trio fell in a village well.
Bini Hansda first fell in a well while taking water. Soon, her brother lasha Hansda (21) and their neighbour Suklal Handa (28) jumped to save her in the well.
However, all of them were killed though Damu Soren, who too landed in the well to rescue the trio, managed to come out.
