A 23-year-old girl of Gohiraduha village in Mayurbhanj district on Monday lodged an FIR alleging that a Constable posted in the Remuna police station sexually exploited her on the pretext of marrying her.
The Remuna police have lodged a case under the relevant sections of the IPC and began investigation. Remuna PS IIC Sriballav Sahu said,
“Acting on the complaint of the victim a case under Section 376 of the IPC has been registered and investigation was underway.”According to the complainant, she came in contact with the accused Constable Padman Saunta three years ago at a college function. Their acquaintances gradually developed into intimacy.
