With general elections approaching soon, the Jharsuguda District Congress Committee (DCC) was reorganised on the approval of AICC president Rahul Gandhi on OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik’s suggestion on Saturday. Accordingly, senior lawyer Girish Ranjan Panda was appointed as the DCC president and Jharsuguda MlA Naba Kishore Das’ son Bishal Deb Das as working president.
It might be mentioned that on the party’s principle of one-person-one-post, MlA Naba Das had resigned from the post of the DCC president some days back.
Thereafter ending all speculations, the names of Girish Panda and Bishal Deb Das were declared.
Keeping the general elections in view, the Congress high command has swung into action and reorganised most of the DCCs in the State much earlier to combat the election strategies of both BJP and BJD.
