BJD vice-president and former Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadai on Tuesday said no divisive force can weaken the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and claimed that the BJD is poised to return to the power for a fourth consecutive term in the 2014 elections.
Ghadai was addressing a big public rally in Kuhika gram panchayat under his Sukinda constituency in Jajpur district in a bid to strengthen base in the area. "There are some people who want to destabilise the BJD Government, but they won't succeed in their attempt," Ghadai said.
On the formation of a new regional party Odisha Jan Morcha under the leadership of Pyarimohan Mohapatra, he claimed that it would have no impact on the BJD.
He said the Sukinda region has meanwhile witnessed large-scale industrialisation and socioeconomic empowerment of tribals and women due to a number of schemes both by the Government and private players.
