After its successful launch, Google Business Group, Bhubaneswar on Saturday organsied a workshop on ‘Women, Entrepreneurship and Technology’ for women entrepreneurs here. More than 100 women entrepreneurs participated in the event.

Ortel Communication ltd founder and managing director Jagi Mangat Panda and Women and Child Development Department Secretary Arti Ahuja spoke on the importance of technology for women entrepreneurs.  “Women’s business needs are not being properly catered for. Publicly funded support has largely failed to enable women to gain the real strategic expertise needed for effective marketing, sales, human resource and finance, and yet these are the issues which are holding back women’s business growth,” observed the speakers.

“The GBG refines the platform, endeavouring to find the right combination of design and functionality so that its diverse users can tailor experiences to their own needs. In combination with personalised business mentoring, the GBG is the bedrock for achieving our goal of empowering women entrepreneurs and spurring inclusive, sustainable economic growth,” said GBG officials.
