Even as the death toll due to swine flu in the State has reached 13, Ganjam district’s first suspected swine flu patient was admitted in the MKCG Medical College Hospital here on Friday.
A resident of Ganesh Nagar in Konishi village, Suresh Kumar Sharma (50) was admitted in the swine flu ward. Doctors said that viewing the symptoms of swine flu in his body, treatment has started and his blood samples have been sent to Bhubaneswar for test.
It might be pointed out that Nagar is the second person being treated at the MKCG Medical College Hospital. Earlier, a resident of Nandi village in the Bhejiput area in Koraput district, Manik Khosala, had been admitted to this hospital.
