Vigilance police on Friday arrested Ganjam district’s Rangeilunda block Technical Assistant Ajit Kumar Das on the charge of demanding and accepting bribe of `20,000 from a school headmaster to make measurement of additional classroom and issue a completion certificate.
Acting on a complaint lodged by Narayanpur UP School Headmaster Prafulla Chandra Dash, the Vigilance police laid a trap and caught Das red-handed while taking the bribe amount from the complainant in the school premises. The residential house of the accused at Godabaris Nagar in Brahmapur was being searched, an official release informed.
