With just a day left for BJP national president Amit Shah’s visit, the party’s Ganjam unit made all preparations to welcome him in a big way.
The party too upped its ante against the State Government alleging that Ganjam district witnessed little development during the last 17 years despite being the home turf of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
“As many as 1.62 lakh families in Ganjam district are yet to see electricity. People are migrating to other States for work due to lack of self-employment opportunities. Out of 250 sanctioned doctor posts, 113 are lying vacant in the MKCG Medical College Hospital.” alleged State secretary Bhrugu Baxipatra at a Press conference here on Sunday.
He said the BJP would stress on effecting development in all sectors when it would come to power.
Regarding Shah’s July 4 visit, he said the national president would visit Hugulapata village under Kukudakhandi block at 12.30 pm where he would meet five families and have lunch in one family. Then, he would move Ambapua to address a huge rally. He would be provided warm reception at Hangelewar, Humma, Rambha, Ganjam, Chhatrapur, Chamma Khandi and Jagannathpur.
Among others, party’s State secretary Bibhuti Jena, district president Kanhu Charan Pati and leaders like Saroj Sabat, Sarat Sahu and Sunil Sahu were present.
