On the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by Sarpanch Ushanta Sahu of Ankorada panchayat under Digapahandi block in Ganjam district, his assets were raided by the Vigilance police on Wednesday. It was found that he had assets worth Rs 1,49,04,543.
His residential double-storied building at Niladri Bihar, Digapahandi, residential triple-storied building under construction at Digapahandi, tin- roofed garage at Podamari road, Digapahandi, single-storied building at Rajpur, Aska road, office room and double-storied building at native Nabarangpur village were simultaneously searched .
Apart from residential buildings, his assets found were 11 plots of land, one Bolero, one XUV 500R Mahindra car, one bullet motor cycle, one Honda unicorn motor cycle,deposits in different banks and insurance policies, gold and silver ornaments and costly household articles.
