Members of the Navnirman Krushak Sangathan (NKS), Ganjam district, supporting the NKS State convenor Akshaya Kumar’s fast, held a demonstration before the Collectorate here on Monday demanding ‘price, prestige and pension’ for farmers.
The members threatened that if the State Government fails to fulfil their demands within one month they would boycott the upcoming elections and not allow any leader or officer of the ruling party to enter villages in coming days.
Among others, NKS district advisor Ramesh Chandra Kar, Rangeilunda block secretary Sudarshan patro, Khallikote block advisor Kishore Sahu, Ranganath Patro, Nageswar Chanda, Laxmidhar Sahu, Prafulla Gauda, Bauri Behera and Bijay Jena were present.
