Ganjam lagging behind in growth, says BJP

Published on:

The Ganjam district is lagging behind development in all sectors during the 17 years’ rule of the BJD Government, alleged BJP spokesperson Sanjana Sharma at a Press meet here on Friday.

Till now, 1, 62,000 families in Ganjam have no electricity connections. Of 3 lakh BPl families, 1, 20,000 families are deprived of power supply, he said.

Sharma said unemployment is increasing in the district. He alleged that among 250 doctors posts in the MKCG Medical College Hospital, 113 posts are lying vacant. He questioned that why the Chheligada Medium Irrigation Project, which had started in 2003, is still incomplete even as the Chief Minister holds the Water Resources Department portfolio.
