A farmers’ meeting was held in Jamuni village under Purushottampur block to mark the 23rd Anniversary of Biju Janata Dal in which thousands of farmers from nearby areas attended.
The meeting was presided by senior BJD leader Digambara Panigrahi. Local MLA Suryamani Vaidya, Purushottampur Block Chairman Suryanarayana Panda, former Chairman of Purushottampur Block Bauri Panda, former Chairman of Purushottampur NAC Basu Mahapatra, senior BJD leader and general secretary of Ganjam BJD Jagannath Sabat among others were present.
Attending as chief guest, former Deputy Speaker of Assembly Rama Chandra Panda said the 5-T programme of the ruling BJD Government clearly intents to make the administration accountable to citizens. He also praised many other steps taken by the Naveen Patnaik Government.
