Vigilance police on Monday arrested Manoj Kumar Raju, Senior Technical Consultant in the DPC office at Chhatrapur in Ganjam district on the charge of taking brike of Rs40,000 from a person to release arrear money.
Acting on a complaint lodged by one Simanchal Panigrahi of Hinjili, the sleuths laid a trap on Monday and caught Raju red handed while accepting the bribe amount from the complainant in his office room. Raju was forwarded to court on Tuesday.
