: District Collector of Ganjam Dibya Jyoti Parida made thorough review of all the ongoing development projects being carried out under the BeMC here on Wednesday.
Parida also discussed threadbare with the BeMC Commissioner J Sonal in the matter and wanted to know the status of each and every work being carried out including their progress.
In Ward No.1 in the presence of concerned officers and Engineers, he visited the drain that connects Burma Colony and Dhanamera street. He also visited and reviewed the progress of the myriad development works such as, road, drain, water supply, park, open sky, gym, street light and toilet works currently being executed at Uttara Mukhi under Jaga Mission Scheme. The Collector instructed the officers and engineers to complete the work within the stipulated time frame. Similarly, He also issued instructions to prepare the DPR of Haradakhandi tank renovation and beautification.
Notably, most of the city drains are defunct and do not function properly since they are packed with solid wastes and suffering from stagnation of drain water due to poor workmanship and maintenance.
