The Vigilance police on Wednesday caught Ganjam district’s Bhanjanagar Block Education Office Head Clerk Priyadarshi Dash red-handed for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 10,000.
He was caught taking bribe in his office from complainant Sudhansu Kumar Mohapatra, Bhanjanagar block Baragaon Primary School Shiksha Sahayak, to prepare the arrear bills of 65 Sikhya Sahayaks including the complainant towards regularisation of their services in July 2018.
Dash rented residential house at Brahmapur Town was searched. Later he was arrested and forwarded to court.
