The BJP Ganjam unit held a preparatory meeting here on Friday for visit of the party’s national president Amit Shah to the district on June 22.
Party’s State secretary Bibhuti Bhusan Jena presided over the meeting wherein district president Kanhu Charan Pati advised the party members of the six zones to construct booth committees by May-end.
The programmes of Union Minister Dharmendra’s visit and induction of new members to the party to be held in Chatrapur and Bhanjanagar were also discussed.
On this occassion, many Congress leaders like K Govind Rao, Y Dharma Raju, Gopal Rao, K Sanyasi, Santoshi Moharana, Usha Rani Sethi and D Gopi joined the BJP.
