: Intellectuals and BJD workers of the Ganjam NAC town celebrated the 107th birth anniversary of legendary leader and former CM Biju Patnaik at Ganjam on Sunday.
Former Deputy Speaker and advisor of AFED, Government of Odisha Rama Chandra Panda graced the event as chief guest. A number of party leaders and workers also joined the celebration. Prominent among those included Chairperson of Ganjam NAC Prativa Padhi, BJD leader and former Vice Chairman of Ganjam NAC Lakshmi Charan Padhi, local NAC Councillor Arun Panda, president of Senior Citizens’ Forum Lingaraj Pattnaik, president of Marine Fishermen Association Budhimanta Rao, senior party leader Rabi Pradhan and Sarapanchs of Malad and Kainchapur GPs besides social worker Sushama Panda.
All the dignitaries paid their floral tributes to Bijubabu and garlanded his statue and recalled his contributions to the State.
Earlier, BJD leader Panda also attended the Biju Jayanti celebrated at Bada Bazar and garlanded the statue of Bijubabu. Among others, BJD district general secretary T Gopi, local councillor T Kishore and citizens joined the event and paid their floral tributes.
