Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday arrested Ganjam district’s Belaguntha Banka Sector Anganwadi Supervisor Puspalata Sahu for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from Prabhasini Samudra of Karapalli under the Bhanjanagar police station for clearing her six month’s arrear salary amounting to Rs 18,000.
Acting on the complaint lodged by Samudra, a Vigilance team led a trap and caught the Anganwadi Supervisor red-handed while taking Rs 5,000 from the complainant at CDPO office at Belaguntha. later Sahu was forwarded to court. Her rented residential house at Belaguntha was also searched, informed an official release.
