Ganjam’s oldest Bharati Vidyapitha devoid of HM

Published on:

The Bharati Vidyapitha is one of the oldest high schools in Ganjam district which was established at Ganjam town in 1955. But it is highly unfortunate that the school hasn't had a regular headmaster since 2009.

Neither the local administration nor the political leaders of the area give any attention to the long-standing problem. Locals have expressed their strong anguish against this.

Though the State Government is giving appointment of headmasters in different high schools but this school is still devoid of one.

Besides, the NCC wing of the school has been withdrawn causing serious resentment among the students. Locals have demanded to reintroduce the NCC wing in the school for the benefits of the students.

The school has already celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2011. It has produced many meritorious students in the past. Locals of Ganjam demanded immediate solution of the two problems facing the school. Presently, the school has 14 male and female teachers.
