Professor Ganeshi lal was sworn in as the new Governor of Odisha at the Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday. Orissa High Court Chief Justice Vineet Saran administered the oath of the office to lal.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, leader of Opposition in State Assembly Narasingha Mishra, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, many State Ministers and senior Government officers were present during the oath-taking ceremony. Earlier, lal visited the lord Jagannath Temple in Puri and offered prayers before taking the oath. He was accompanied by law Minister Pratap Jena.
