Former Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang, who resigned from the Congress last month, is scheduled to visit Delhi on Wednesday along with his son Sishir Gamang with the possibility of joining the BJP. Sources said the father-son duo would officially declare their joining with the saffron party before the national leaders. "We will visit Delhi on Wednesday and clear our stand on our joining a party there," said Sishir. On Monday, the former Chief Minister and nine-time lok Sabha member Giridhar had held a meeting with BJP State unit president KV Singh Deo raising many eyebrows, sources said.
