Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang has reportedly decided to resign from the party.
Though the nine-time lok Sabha Member has not made it clear, his son Sisir Gamang on Wednesday said he is dissatisfied with party leaders in many respects. One instance is that he had recommended the name of Ram Chandra Ulaka’s son to fight from the Rayagada Assembly seat in the last elections, but a day before the last date of filing of nomination papers he was informed that another person had been selected for the seat.
“You will know everything in five days,” Sisir Gamang told reporters.
Meanwhile, Giridhar Gamang’s recent meeting with Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram in New Delhi also added to the speculations. Oram said Gamang discussed various tribal issues of his locality with him.
